I had a lovely morning photographing this delightful 6 week-old baby and her mummy, at their home in Balham.


Baby was awake when I arrived, and very happy, having just had a feed, so we decided to capitalise on her mood and get some beautiful happy, smiling shots to kick things off. She was very content laying outside on a beautiful handmade blanket, a family heirloom no less, which adds something extra special to the photos.


When she got a little chilly we wrapped her in the blanket and took some more snuggly shots, before moving inside to the bright, airy living room, where baby and mummy sat and played for a little while.


Moving upstairs we took some shots of baby on the bed, and then in her nursery, which had a lovely bay window-seat and lots of natural light.


By this point baby was getting peckish and sleepy so she had a feed and fell asleep, allowing me to get a few sweet snaps of her dozing, and having milk dreams!

We were lucky enough to have Emily take pictures of our baby and the photos of our little girl are stunning.

Emily is extremely talented and captured her expressions perfectly!

The shoot was very relaxed and Emily was brilliant at working with our newborn and putting us all at ease.
